Welcome to WILD ABOUT KILLEARN – the natural history section of this website – exploring and celebrating Killearn’s fascinating wildlife.

The site is divided into five local habitats: Garden; Farmland; Woodland (coming soon); Moorland and Waterside. 150 key species of bird, mammal, insect, plant, fish, reptile or fungi are illustrated across two different time frames for each habitat. Each species is either frequently found in the local area or is of special interest. Enjoy investigating Killearn’s unique natural and built environment.
